How is Filled (together) different from the Filled Gathering?

The Filled Gathering is a large gathering of foster & adoptive moms held each year at the Lancaster Convention Center and Marriott Hotel. The event gathers women from around the country to connect with each other, worship together, play & laugh, and learn from Biblical teaching & practical workshops.

Filled (together) is inspired by the heart and focus of Filled, but is different in a few ways:

  • We are holding the priority of helping you connect with other foster & adoptive parents, while also creating space for you to connect together as a couple. We hope you take time to intentionally focus on your relationship throughout these few days. To help facilitate this, we’ve built in time for a dinner date on Friday evening and will also offer opportunities for you to connect with other couples (including the Thursday night “Eat (together)” Banquet at the Westin Hotel and the Friday “Food Truck Festival",” which are included in the cost of registration, as well as “Find Your People” Gatherings and meet-ups & workshops specific to moms & dads).

  • The content will be a combination of encouraging gospel-centered preaching, practical trauma-informed workshops, and teaching specifically relevant to marriage.

  • We will be meeting at a church, with lodging and most meals off site.

Where is Filled (together) located?

Filled (together) is held at Sovereign Grace Church in Marlton, NJ–just 30 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport. Lodging is available at local hotels, less than 10 minutes from the church.

What is included in the cost of registration?

Registration includes the couple’s admittance to all main sessions and workshops, coffee & snacks & drinks throughout the weekend, special activities & surprises, a “Date Night Bag,” banquet dinner Thursday night, and lunch from a food truck Friday afternoon. (Not included: Breakfast Friday & Saturday, Friday night dinner, lodging, and transportation.)

Who will be speaking?

Jamie Finn & Jason Johnson are co-creating Filled (together) and will both be speaking to couples and individually to moms & dads. Please check our growing line up of SPEAKERS, which includes foster and adoptive parents, former foster youth, adoptees, excellent Biblical teachers, and experts in neuroscience, parenting, & trauma. We are committed to bringing orthodox Biblical theology and research-based, practical education from gifted speakers who bring diversity in race and ethnicity as well as perspective and lived experience within foster care/adoption. If you are an expert in the foster care/adoption space and are interested in presenting a workshop, please fill out this form: Workshop Submission Form.
